First week of December

Well, we had a very good weekend.  Great to have family in and also great to see them leave.  I worked 44 hours this past week.  Then on Friday, Matt, Lana and Grace came for the weekend.  Grace is not so adjusted to her make shift bed her at Mamaw's so nights get slightly disrupted for her and for us.  Saturday morning, when I heard Grace was up, I thought I could go wash dishes and she would love to help.  So 6 am we started washing dishes.  Lana went back to bed for some much needed rest.  Then later the Wampoles came and so did the Lowrys.  We had lunch and celebrated Graces' 2nd birthday.   Then after supper we exchanged gifts.  So two events in one day.  We again did this early in Dec. because of Lana being pregnant and not wanting to travel again till after Glen arrives.  Today we all went to church and Matt and Lana left for Roanoke in the afternoon.  For us now the business is over.  It was a great weekend and also a Great Christmas celebration with the family.

Introduction.......

I am now on a new journey!  I am going to do some diary enteries and also reminiscse.  Today for my first entry, I will introduce myself some.  I am a wife to a great man I met 44 years ago, a mother of three married girls and 4 grandsons and 1 granddaughter and another grandson who we are anticipating to meet on his arrival in about 5 weeks.  I was born and raised in Canada and met my husband here in the USA while doing some volunteer work while he was doing his alternative service in the late 60's. 

The past two weeks, Grace and Lana were here.   I just have been able to do so much with Grace.  I'm not sure who wore who out.  But we played on the trampoline, enjoyed the sand box, tried out each swing and when she decided to stand on it and swing, I knew we had to go on to another activity. She loved the zip line and slides also.  One day we even baked bread.  She even had her share of dough to work.  Each evening bath time showed more of her ability to get me about as wet as she was even if I was on the outside of the tub.  But... now that she has gone home, I am tired but miss her extremely.  They are coming again, soon.  So happy about that.
